We started with one simple idea.
Good farming knowledge should be practical, local, and easy to get hold of.
Farming is hard work. And finding reliable information that actually applies to where you live — that can be even harder. Most of what’s out there is written for somewhere else, by someone who’s never seen your soil or your seasons.
That’s why FarmWise exists. We write farming handbooks that speak directly to the people using them — built for the conditions, the climate, and the realities of the places we serve.
Our mission is not only to help one country — but to help as many farmers as we possibly can.
A bit about us
FarmWise SA trades under FarmWise Group (PTY) LTD, a South African registered company. What started as a local effort to support SA farmers has grown into something bigger. Today we supply digital farming books across three countries:

🇳🇿 New Zealand — a growing community of farmers
🇺🇸 United States — reaching homesteaders and producers
Each handbook is built for that specific place. We don’t copy and paste. We research, we write, and we make sure the advice inside actually works for the farmer reading it — whether they’re raising chickens in Limpopo, keeping bees in Canterbury, or growing maize in the Midwest.
What we believe
Good farming knowledge shouldn’t be locked behind expensive consultants or buried in academic papers. It should be clear, affordable, and available the moment you need it. That’s why everything we sell is a digital download — instant access, no waiting.
We cover poultry, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, bees, maize, vegetables — and we’re always working on what comes next. If there’s a gap in practical farming knowledge for the places we serve, we want to fill it.
